How You Can Upgrade your iPhone and iPad Devices to iOS 11

Apple few months ago released a beta version of its latest iOS. The new iOS 11 has officially been rolled out to users. The new update comes with great features like ability to edit Live Photos, ease of customizing the new Control Center, Emergency Mode, the hard G GIF, Do not disturb while driving and lot more.


While some are already enjoying the new feature, in this post I will share with you how you can upgrade to the new iOS if you are still using the old version. Update can be done using either of the two edit method via OTA Update or via iTunes.

NOTE: Your device must have up to 2GB of space before you can perform the update else you will broke or crash your device.

How to Update your Device to iOS 11 Via OTA Update: Updating via OTA is the must preferred option and well as the easiest. To do this, go to Settings >>> General >>> Software Update. iOS will automatically check for an update, then prompt you to download and install iOS 11.

Note: You should make sure that your battery is up to 80% or better still you such connect your device to a source of power and also it will be wise to do it over a Wi-Fi network.

Update Via iTunes: This method requires you update to iTune v12.7 for it to work. 
  • Now connect your device to your PC and you will see Itunes automatically pop up. 
  • Simply click on iPhone or iPad icon in the top-left corner of iTunes, next to the drop-down menu
  • Click on Check for Update  
  • And then Download and Update. 
  • Follow the prompts, accept the terms, and let iTunes complete the process.
